The individual in the Leasing Consultant role is responsible for assisting the Property  Manager(s) with the leasing and/or management and maintenance of residential and commercial  properties to the satisfaction of the owners and the tenants.

Working in a team environment with other Property Managers, you will be expected to demonstrate  commitment, loyalty and an ability to work as an enthusiastic team member in accordance with the  organisation’s office routines and procedures, keeping in mind the overall business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Follow up all Market Appraisals, assess their impressions and future intentions and record  them in Agentbox 

• Assist buyer inquiry and convert to appointments / appraisals 

• Build a database of potential purchasers, investors and sellers (categories) 

• Assist buyer inquiries, capturing their details and converting, where possible to sales  appointments 

• Record buyer details in Agentbox assessing their price range, listing and investor potential 

• Regularly follow up buyer database assessing their requirements, business potential and  arranging inspections where possible 

• Contact old appraisals and past purchasers each week and establish them as contacts for follow  up – add to task list 

• Following up existing contacts and past purchasers reassessing their motivation and setting up  market appraisal appointments as appropriate 

• Follow up all RITA leads / prospect Active Pipe leads 

• Provide written weekly report to Sales Agent on activity, results and research findings 

• Carry out any other special assignments as may be requested by Agent

• Ensure all necessary support tasks associated with listing and selling real estate are carried out  in an efficient, expedient and professional manner 

• Be responsible for coordinating aspects of property marketing, including photography and  preparation of floor plans 

• Attend weekly sales meetings and all scheduled training ensuring appointments are scheduled  around these meetings/training 

• Assist in the preparation of canvassing material and any other correspondence associated with  office listings and sales 

• Assist with property inspections and auctions (in room and onsite) 

• Ensure that pointer signs are placed and collected for open homes 

• Responsible for the maintenance of professionally presented marketing materials at open  homes 

• Knowledge of all office listings so inquiries from both vendors and purchasers can be managed  in the absence of a member of the Sales Team 

• Provide the Sales Team with a full range of support to assist with the sales success of the  company. In this regard, you must be able to provide word-processing and general  administrative support as instructed 

• Ensure accurate control of documentation associated with the listing & selling of properties

• As directed by Sales Administrator or Agent, contact and consult with valuers, building/pest  control inspectors, councils and solicitors, to ensure the smooth progress of sales 

• Participate in key result area and key performance indicator review processes to establish areas  for improvement 

• To maintain a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and company  standards. 

• Maintain a well-groomed and business-like appearance

Knowledge & Experience Required 

• Possession of a Real Estate Licence or Certificate of Registration 

• Current driver’s licence 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, systems oriented with meticulous  attention to detail 

• Ability to communicate at all levels 

• Excellent levels of computer literacy and keyboard skills 

• Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and other 

• The ability to create a positive, everlasting impression with the most professional, courteous  and expedient manner and to continually strive for superior client service 

• An ability to work under limited supervision 

• Proactive, punctual and reliable

• Enjoys dealing with people daily and is able to be tolerant of rude people – is polite but assertive • Previous experience in a sales support function  

• Experience in the real estate industry

Salary: $55k - $60k plus super plus commission
